Salone del Mobile in Milan is a hotbed of creative, out-of-the-ordinary ideas – for designs that set out in new directions, while changing and influencing furniture markets the world over. This global influence clearly shone through in the exhibition halls in 2018.
And, as seen at the Wittmann stand, visitors were clearly drawn in by the international journey the company has embarked upon – as characterised by a conscious bringing together of different cultural approaches. A path which gives rise to the kind of products and aesthetics that are exactly what the market is calling for. The coexistence of Swedish, Spanish, German and Austrian design creates a desirable blend that struck a chord with fairgoers from all continents.
The idea that our designers and our passion for handcraftsmanship continues to appeal is a source of pride for us and confirms that our approach is as relevant as ever. And the fact that our work won an award is a real honour. The Elle Deco International Design Awards (EDIDA) have been a benchmark for innovation in the interior design segment for around 15 years. On 19 April Jaime Hayon accepted a 2018 EDIDA in the Bedding category for his Wings Bed. Mille grazie.
