WITTMANN ON TOP DOWN UNDER

Miles Ahead is the latest collection by Sebastian Herkner for Wittmann. And Wittmann is also miles ahead when it comes to breaking into new markets. Two high-end Australian furniture stores offer Wittmann products, reflecting their passion for Austrian handcraftsmanship and trendsetting European design. To celebrate the launch of the new collection, Herkner’s chairs, armchairs and sofas will be shipped to the southern hemisphere – and the designer himself will be joining them.

From mid-July, Sebastian Herkner was travelling across Australia for two weeks in the company of Wittmann CEO Hartmut Roehrig. The designer presented his Miles Ahead and Merwyn collections at the showrooms of Wittmann’s retail partners DOMO (in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane) and ULTIMO (in Perth).

It’s a good time to try and create an additional buzz for Wittmann furnishings. Australian customers recently had the chance to try out some highlights from Wittmann’s range of beds and chairs: DOMO’s stand at this year’s DENfair in Melbourne from 20-22 June showcased Wittmann furniture. Australian interior design aficionados found out for themselves that models like the Wings Bed and Vuelta from the Wittmann Hayon Workshop collection are not only must-haves when it comes to design; their perfect finishes also make for outstanding comfort and aesthetics.
