Wood

Wood is a central element of many Wittmann models. A natural material, it has a characteristic grain. Most of our timber is sourced from European forests. Every solid wood element and veneer log has a unique colour and structure, and changes with exposure to light. When wood is stained, the final colour can always vary somewhat. This is a feature of the natural material and does not constitute grounds for complaint. For regular care of stained, varnished and natural wood surfaces we recommend wiping with a soft, dry lint-free cloth. To remove fingerprints and other soiling, clean with a damp cloth and then wipe dry. If necessary, add a mild detergent to the water. However, cleaning fluid must always be applied to the cloth, and not sprayed directly on the surface. To ensure that surfaces are protected, deep cleaned and given a new lease of life, we recommend applying furniture polish twice a year after cleaning. Always read the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not use aggressive cleaning products containing additives such as ammonia, alcohol, softeners or any detergents with scouring agents.

Chrome

Chrome surfaces are galvanised, and can crack or splinter on impact. Protect chrome surfaces from severe mechanical stress such as friction or bumping. Clean with a soft cloth and mild soap solution or a normal metal cleaner.
